Strawberry Mivvi Jar

A studio piece and part of the collection of work on “Restorative Nostalgia”. “The Strawberry Mivvi Jar” is decorated with vivid orange lollies.

A SLIPWARE JAR, APPROX 27 CM TALL.
EXECUTED 2021. EARTHENWARE

A vividly coloured slipware  jar with domed top.  The form of coil built red Staffordshire earthenware is decorated with ice lollies against white spots on a black ground using slipware traditions of slip trailing, painting, and finished with a transparent gloss glaze to 1120°C oxidation firing.
