Everything I see, hear and remember goes into my work. Memories, with their traces of past experiences are perhaps the most valuable. Ideas and memories are such an intimate part of me and the translation and interpretation of these into slipware is the hardest thing I do.

I recognise my own pleasure and visual satisfaction at seeing beauty in life and art. Beauty is an important element of my work aside from any attached meaning. Furthermore I am aware that beauty is in the eye of the beholder and that the beholder is influenced by who they are and what has happened to them in their life.
